Building Strong GirlsBuilding Strong Girls is proactive.
Gamma Phi Beta's philanthropic focus doesn't just address an existing challenge - we are building strong girls to proactively provide opportunities for long-term success by inspiring the leaders of tomorrow. Building Strong Girls is local. In every community there are ways for chapters to provide girls the support they need to bolster their ability to believe in themselves and understand their value and potential. Building Strong Girls is unlimited. From camping and physical fitness, to tutoring and mentoring, to supporting local organizations that empower and teach girls life-enriching skills, Building Strong Girls provides many opportunities for involvement. |
Our Annual Crescent Classic 5K
Beta Epsilon Chapter of Gamma Phi is committed to Building Strong Girls through our amazing Philanthropy, Girls on the Run! Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a North American non-profit program that works to encourage pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games, culminating in a celebratory 5k race at the end of the program.
Every fall we raise money for GOTR through our annual Crescent Classic 5k where we invite the entire Greek and Oxford Community to come out for an evening of running and fun! This past September we had 120 runners participate and raised just over $10,000 collectively as a chapter! Additionally, we work closely with the local GOTR team at Kramer Elementary School through weekly volunteer coaching and cheering them on at the huge GOTR Greater Cincinnati 5k at the conclusion of both their fall and spring seasons! |
